“BME was really the inflection point for me.

I come from a fairly conservative family where the default path was stability: a stable job, predictable trajectory, conventional career path. Leaving Brussels at 19 to study in Barcelona broke that default.

The international exposure, having projects in mixed-nationality teams, and being pushed to operate outside of my comfort zone gave me both the appetite and the confidence to eventually build something of my own.

My masters really sharpened the analytical and strategic toolkit, but BME was the first step that made the rest thinkable. Without that first move abroad, I almost certainly wouldn’t have co-founded Hyperion in 2019, and Brulance probably wouldn’t exist today.”
